COMING TO CIRM
Arriving by car
Marseille is a city oriented North-South for all directions, the sea being on the West side. CIRM is situated within the University campus called LUMINY Faculté des Sciences, which is located in the South end of Marseille, near the road leading to Cassis. If you arrive from the West (A55 "Littoral") or from the North (A7) the easiest is use the underpass/tunnel called "Tunnel à péage Prado-Carénage" and come out at Prado/ Stade Vélodrome. The ticket costs about 3€ but saves a lot of time. From the East (A50) exit at Marseille Centre, in the direction of "La Capelette". Follow signs to Mazargues, Luminy or Cassis. You will go round a large roundabout with an Obelisque standing in the middle. Continue towards Luminy/Cassis from there. You then arrive at a roundabout showing Luminy straight ahead and Cassis to the left. Follow 'Luminy' for about 1 km and you arrive at the Faculté des Sciences main entrance gate (you will see the Bus terminals nearby). If the gate is shut (after 9pm) tell the security guard on duty that you are going to CIRM and they will let you in. Follow the yellow itinerary illustrated on the map below.
